Bird Beak Creamer

$50.00

The Brand: Ceramic artist Odette Heideman, based in Brooklin, Maine, focuses her work on explorations of the “innate beauty of the functional form in daily use.” She fires in a salt kiln because she likes the distinctive quality of texture that the firing gives to her pieces. Salt firing is a process where unglazed ware is fired to high temperatures and salt fumes are introduced into the chamber creating a vapor that adheres to the ceramic pieces. Each of Odette’s pieces are very unique due to this type of firing and that is just how she intends it to be.

Description: We are wild about these creamers with their personality and their stunning textural feel. Each one is unique and each tells its own story. These would be wonderful for cream or milk, of course, but also for warm maple syrup, gravy or dressing. They simply are our favorite thing!

Details: each one-of-a-kind, ceramic, sizes and details vary, general size: 3 x 3 inches with a 2 inch long spout, dark brown on outside, light grey on inside, water safe, wash by hand, made in Maine (NOTE: Each Bird Beak Creamer is one-of-a-kind. We will choose a special one for you!)

A Note From Erika: I love that Odette, the artist, brings one of these beakers filled with homemade dressing, along with a salad, to a dinner party and leaves it as a hostess gift.
