Cast Iron Bottle Opener

$40.00

The Brand: Hisanori Masuda established his own studio, "Chushin Kobo," in 1997. He seeks to create objects retaining the beauty of traditional Japanese cast iron but stylishly adapted to fit contemporary life-style. Chushin Kobo has long made its mission to invite the traditional beauty of Japanese casting into today’s lifestyle. Using iron, aluminum and bronze, Masuda and his team design, produce and sell all their own work. Hisanori Masuda is currently a member of Japan Craft Design Association and teaches at Tohoku University of Art and Design and Yamagata University in the department of education.

Description: Another everyday object made into a piece of art. This opener has a wonderfully weighty feel in the hand. You can tell the fine craftsmanship that goes into each piece and the cast iron will only get better with age. A perfect gift for those arriving in a new home, a dad or grad or simply to add something beautiful to your own kitchen tool drawer.

Details: 6 inches long, 1 1/2 inch circular end for opening, cast iron, made in Japan

A Note From Erika: It feels great in your hand and looks good hanging up on your wall.
