The Brand: Founded in 1934 in the weaving neighborhood of Imabari in Japan, Kontex continues to use century old techniques in the making of their textiles. Woven with very fine organic thread on low-speed looms, each towel holds an unparalleled softness. When the weaving is complete, each piece is washed in snowmelt from the slopes of Mt. Ishizuchi. The end result is a towel that is incredibly absorbent, compact, and free from impurities.
