The Brand: Japanese company Midori Shokai Co. was established in 1950—Midori means green in Japanese. The company started with letter paper, notebooks and sketchbooks. They added other paper products throughout the following decades and started launching products in addition to paper in the 90’s. All of their goods, many award-winning, come from their own factories where things are carefully managed and all details are looked after. As Midori turned 70 years-old in 2020, they celebrated the fact that their products have been a part of so many people’s lives for so long: “The memo pad someone keeps in their shirt pocket, the diary where someone pours out their joys and worries, the set of matching stationery someone splurged on …” Midori has stood the test of time.
Description: We always get excited when we see Midori launching new products, and we generally bring them into the shop. If you are a post-it lover, like we are, you will just have to have these with you at all times. They are designed to look like a cutout of scenery, slightly transparent. It is like looking through a window—peering through a lovely view. A pack for your bag, one for your kitchen drawer—they are so sweet and a wonderful way to enjoy even the littlest moments in this life.
